Whew! I haven't made entries for around 6 weeks because I've been madly knitting. I finished knitting the Victorian Lace Poncho on the 15th, blocked it on the 17th, and my daughter (see photo) took it with her to college on the 20th.
I ended up using 14 balls of Andean Silk yarn to finish the poncho, not 9 balls as the pattern indicated. I made several changes to the pattern, including a longer neck opening, 2 extra repeats of horseshoe lace, adding about 3-4 more inches of shoulder increases, substituting florette for minivine lace in the next section, and using a border from Victorian Lace Today since I couldn't get the one in the pattern to work out.
